Pinoygraphers is an online community for Filipinos who share a common artistic thread: finding inspiration in the world through the camera lens.
Established in 2007 by a group of California-based Filipino photographers as a means to network and share techniques in their native language, the group now has more than 200 registered members and growing. Comprised of professional photographers, photoenthusiasts and graphic designers with varied specialities such as fashion, glamour, photojournalism, events, weddings and fine art, Pinoygraphers is truly a global community with active groups in the Philippines , North America and other countries in between.
Pinoygraphers Toronto is one of the worldwide group’s most active chapters. The movement debuted north of the border when PG co-founder Red Andal moved to Mississauga in 2007, and started recruiting GTA-based photographers and hobbyists online. Barely a year old, Pinoygraphers Toronto have successfully held their first exhibit as a collective (Ma’am Sir, June 2008), partnered with Kapisanan Philippine Centre for Cheap Shot and are continuously holding shootouts and various workshops for its members.
With close to 20 active members and growing, Pinoygraphers Toronto invites Ontario-based Filipino photographers and photoenthusiasts to join them in celebrating their first year anniversary on August 23, Saturday. Sign up at www.pinoygraphers.com for more details.

The redesigned site hopes to be a big improvement, site promotion will be on full blast as we go out and seek high quality and recognized Filipino photographers to join our organization, thus when you are a Pinoygraphers.Com full member it means you are really good, that something to strive for, to be? Still, every Filipino photographer is welcome, there will just be different levels of membership and how your articles and photo materials will be published on the website. Your own profile page and URL, think of this as your website within pinoygraphers.com, member will have full control on what to put on his portfolio and information to share about themselves. Your own url e.g. www.pinoygraphers.com/user will be exclusive and you can put it on other sites you wish.
Your own photo gallery to showcase your work. Gallery will have exif information.
A photo blog, that's right, a blog of photos, whatever you write will be indexed to your Pinoygrapher profile.
Articles, tutorials and equipment review will be written by assigned members and staff.
A pinoygrapher classified listing categorized for easier search by potential client (thanks moyks)
A special gallery section for event coverage, official PG covered event will be put in this gallery for public and event organizer viewing. Press passes will be requested by us and issued to assigned PGs, Paul Pablo will handle this.
Community consisting of private messaging, forum and of course the most popular shoutbox, tambayan.
We might be sounding serious and yes we are, but we still want to maintain some of our friendly, hospitable, helpful and "mapagbirong" athmosphere, after all, this is what differentiates us from others, we are not jus a website, we are an organization of "Talented Pinoygraphers" we better ourselves by getting together, teaching each other, being friends and having fun.
